Pineapple Boulevardier

A Tropical Spin on a Bold Classic

The Boulevardier is the Negroni’s whiskey-loving cousin—rich, bittersweet, and sophisticated—but the Pineapple Boulevardier gives it a tropical twist. By replacing whiskey with Buchanan’s Pineapple, the drink gains a lush sweetness and sunny lift without losing its depth. Campari, sweet vermouth, and a dash of Angostura bitters keep it grounded in classic balance, while grated nutmeg and dried pineapple add aroma and spice. It’s the Boulevardier reimagined—familiar, yet ready for vacation.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 dashes @angosturahouse Aromatic Bitters

  • 5 drops saline solution (20% salt / 80% water)

  • ¾ oz sweet vermouth (Cocchi Vermouth Di Torino recommended)

  • ¾ oz Campari

  • 1 oz Buchanan’s Pineapple

Garnish: dried pineapple wheel & freshly grated nutmeg
Glass: rocks glass with large ice cube

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice.

  2. Stir until well chilled and diluted.

  3. Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.

  4. Garnish with a dried pineapple wheel and a dusting of fresh nutmeg.

The Pineapple Boulevardier is proof that even the most iconic cocktails can wear a tropical twist beautifully. Bold, bittersweet, and sun-kissed—it’s a glass of balance and adventure.
