Pandan Singapore Sling
If cocktails had passports, the Singapore Sling would be stamped on the cover. First created at the Long Bar of Raffles Hotel in Singapore around 1915, this drink was designed as a “socially acceptable” cocktail for women—disguising gin with fruit juice, liqueurs, and a rosy hue that made it look like harmless punch. Over a century later, the Singapore Sling remains an icon: fruity, complex, and undeniably tropical.
But what happens when you give this classic a Southeast Asian twist? Enter the Pandan Singapore Sling. Pandan, often called the “vanilla of Asia,” brings an aromatic, nutty-sweet depth to desserts, rice dishes, and now—this reimagined cocktail. It softens the sharp edges of gin, complements the fruit, and elevates the whole experience into something lush and contemporary.
